I started this comic when I started online dating. I was researching quantum theory, probability and information theory. I was feeling melodramatic about the impossibility of knowing people, or even of knowing myself, at the same time as desperately wanting to find connection. Swiping left and right through swathes of photos of people I didn’t know made me feel both exhilarated with possibility and emptied out of all feeling. Like schrodinger’s cat - both alive and dead.

After work, I was either reading philosophy and science, or going on a succession of dates and feeling emotional. The two worlds were so different - I wanted some way of bringing the intellectual and emotional worlds together, and this comic was the result.
